When mining companies care for the environments in which they live and work, they do so comprehensively, from the ground up, caring for nature, animals and the people that surround each mine. That’s why companies like Florence Copper are so involved in their local communities. Take the 2025 United Way of Pinal County fundraising campaign, for which Florence Copper and its employees raised more than $25,600 to support early childhood literacy efforts across the community. The funds helped supply nearly 10,000 books for children in the area through the Better Beginnings initiative.
“Florence Copper is dedicated to making a meaningful impact in our local community,” said John Mays, General Manager of Florence Copper. “Investing in early literacy helps set children on a path to success, and we’re proud to support this effort alongside our employees and community partners.”
